INVESTIGATION INTERVIEWING COURSE
This 1 Day Course enables participants to develop understanding of the importance of key legal requirements for discipline and grievance investigation interviews, and practice the communication skills required for effective disciplinary investigation interviews, including statement taking and report writing.
Course Objectives
• Recognise the purpose and essential legal requirements of investigatory
interviewing
• Identify and practice verbal questioning techniques
• Identify the significance of body language during the interview process
• Recognise each stage of the interview process
• Recognise how to and practice recording evidence,
taking witness statements and writing an investigation report
• Identify key behavioural skills required to confront difficult
situations and conduct interviews assertively
• Create a personal development plan

Anybody who is currently, or will be, involved in the disciplinary process wishing to undertake formal training to enhance their knowledge and practise within this area.
