How do I send an email as an attachment

One of the more unknown tricks you can do in outlook is forward an email you have received as an attachment. You can do this in a few different ways. One example is saving the email to your computer and attach the email to a brand new email that you are going to send.

Even simpler than that, outlook allows you to click one button that changes the email to an attachment ready for you to enter text into the body of the email.

How to change junk email protection level

Everyone gets the occasional junk email, but you can manually choose the level of junk email protection you want to use by clicking the drop-down box on the ‘Home’ tab.

 

You will be presented with Junk Email options and you can select the level of junk protection, by default it is set to no automatic filtering.

How do I add an attachment to my email

When you have created a new email, you generally fill in the email with content that you want to tell others, but you can also attach a file that could help your content in your email. Under the message tab, you can select 'Attach File' and then you can decide on the file you want to be in the email. You can also attach a file by looking at the 'Insert Tab'


However, the bigger the file you attach, the longer it will take to send.

How do I add a photo to my email instead of an attachment?

In Outlook, you can display a picture without having it as an attachment that the recipient has to open to see it.


On the 'Insert' Tab select 'Photo' this will allow you to insert a file such as a .jpg or a .png

How do I categorise my emails?

Categorising your emails has never been easier. Once you have selected the email(s) you want to categorise, press the category button and select a colour. After you have chosen your colour you will be given the choice to name this category and specify a custom colour.


After this, the email will have the category colour and name within the subject header.

How do I adjust how many lines of an email I can see in preview?

Within Outlook, you can specify many different view settings. You can decide if you want to display lines of an email through 'View' and under 'Message Preview'.



By default, this is set to 1 line but you can have a maximum of 3 lines that can be shown or alternatively, you can disable message preview by selecting 'Off'

How do I change my reading pane settings?

Under the View section, select Reading Pane. This will give you 3 options, the default is to have the pane on the right. However, you can switch it off if you'd like to and you can also move it to the bottom of outlook.


Each of the different ways will change how you can quickly see your emails.

How do I send an email to others without showing them who its sent to?

To send an email to multiple people and also hide who you are sending it to, you would use BCC.


This allows you to add multiple people to the email, but not include their names within the To: option. When creating a new email, go to options and select BCC as an option. From there type all the email addresses within the BCC box to hide the names.

How do I add a signature to my email account?

To add a signature to your email account, you first need to go to File and Options on outlook.

After the options menu has loaded up simply select the mail section and press on the signature option.


Press New and begin creating your own custom signature that you can use for new emails you send and/or reply to emails with the signature.
