If you want to make text more exciting then why not use WordArt. Click on the Insert tab and select WordArt, then choose the style that you want. Once you’ve chosen a style, type in the text that you want to be on your slide.
If you’re unsure about some text in a presentation, instead of deleting the text, how about putting a line through it.
To do this, select the text you are unsure about and click on the Strikethrough tool on the Home tab. This will then place a line through the selected text. This means if you do want to keep the text, you can remove the strikethrough line.
To make a word or phrase stand out from the text around it, you could use the Underline tool.
Select the text you want to apply an underline to and then click on the Underline tool on the Home tab.
You can also use the shortcut CTRL + U to apply an underline.
If you want a slide to be laid out in columns then why not try the Add or Remove Columns tool located on the Home tab. Once you’ve found it then select how many columns you want to apply to your slide.
If you want to add additional information to your presentation, then why not insert a text box. Go to the insert tab and select text box. Then draw the text box onto your slide. You can now type your information into the text box.
If you want to move text to another location, for example a new slide, use the Cut tool. It’s easy to use, just select the text or object you want to move then go to the Home tab > Clipboard and select Cut, then click where you want the text or object to be placed and then go to Home tab > Clipboard and select Paste.
If you’re a fan of shortcuts, use CTRL + X to cut and CTRL + V to paste.
If you want to distinguish text then why not format it to Italic.
To do this, select the text you want to make italic, then on the Home tab select the Italic icon.
You can also use the shortcut CTRL + I to make text italic.
If you want to present your information differently then why not putting it in a table. Go to the Insert tab and select table. Once there, select insert table and enter how many rows and columns you want your table to have.
If you want to insert different symbols into your presentation just go to the Insert tab and select Symbol on the Ribbon. This will open a window where you can find the symbol you want. Once you have found it, select the icon and click on insert then close the window. This will now have placed the symbol into your slide.
If you want to copy text or an object to another location, for example a new slide, use the Copy tool. Select the text or object you want to copy, then go to the Home tab > Clipboard and select Copy, then click in the location you want the text or object to be placed, then go to Home tab > Clipboard and select Paste.
When you open PowerPoint, you will be faced with a variety of design templates. Have a scroll through and find the best template for your presentation.
